Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at  nutritionalvitality1@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

An initial consult goes for 90 minutes.  During this time I will ask a multitude of questions about your health to understand your main health complaint and together we will decide on what our course of action will be.

I will ask about your signs and symptoms, medical history, family history, body measurements, any testing you may have had done in the past, detailed dietary assessment and environmental factors.  I will also ask about each of the body systems that relate to your presenting complaint to help me determine our best course of treatment.

Changes are generally necessary to improve health.  It is not so much about the amount of changes to be made, it is more about how this will be done.  I generally like to implement change slowly to ensure the changes become habits.  I will change things like nutrition, lifestyle and thought patterns that may be contributing to your health status.  All changes are a collaboration between us both to ensure they will work with your family and work schedules.

Due to the fact that each and every one of us are different this is a hard one to answer.  Some see immediate results and some take a little longer, it all depends on the complexity of each case.

You may or may not.  It will again, depend on your individual case.  If you do, these will come at an extra cost to you.

Payment will be required prior to your consultation.  After you make your appointment you will receive an email containing your initial consultation form (which gives me a brief overview of your health) this will also include the details of how to pay.  Upon payment you will receive a detailed receipt for your records.

Unfortunately, Medicare does not cover any rebates for Clinical Nutrition.  The good news is that some private health funds do such as:

AHM, Australian Unity, Medibank, NIB, ARHG (including - CUA, HBF, HCA, MDHF, Phoenix Health, QCH and Westfund).

Check with your provider to ensure nutrition is included in your cover.

You will be required to give at least 24hrs notice of cancellation or change.  Any cancellations/changes that fall within the 24hr period will incur the full consultation fee.  A copy of the cancellation policy will be sent after each booking.

Yes, I have a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition and Dietetic Medicine) completed in September of 2023.  To keep this accreditation current I am required to earn Continuing Education Credits yearly.  This is how I stay up to date on all of the latest evidence and science to ensure you get the most up to date treatments.
